Henna also called Mehindi is completely natural, it is the dried & powered leaf of the dwarf scrub Lawsonia inermis. The use of henna goes back 5000 years & has great significance in all Eastern wedding traditions Henna conditions & naturally colours the hair and can also be used as a skin colourant for temporary tattooing. Red henna gives the 'tradition hippy' copper-red metallic tones which deepen with each use and shine brightly in the sun. Great for covering greys in dark hair as the henna stains the grey hair brighter giving the look of lowlights, and it shines like tinsel after many uses! It gives a very rich and quite dramatic copper-auburn result to mousey/dark blonde hair even after only one use.
PLEASE NOTE: It is essential that you perform a hair strand test and skin patch test before first full use - do not use if you have any adverse reaction to the skin test or the result on the strand test is not as desired. We cannot be held responsible for the resulting colour of your hair! Please understand that this is a progressive colour meaning it will intensify and deepen with each use so do not be disheartened if the initial result is quite subtle. Results on porous, greying or light hair may be dramatic so please also bear this in mind!
