Transdermal (through the skin) Magnesium Therapy is often recommended by professionals and regarded to have a plethora of benefits. You need to do your own research on this, but our experience is that transdermally, magnesium levels can be boosted far better than by oral supplements (it is estimated that only a maximum of 40% of magnesium taken orally gets into our cells).
Epsom Salts (magnesium sulphate) are commonly used for magnesium supplementation, but that form of magnesium has more of a drawing effect and is not in the best form for supplementation. Several studies have concluded that Magnesium Chloride is the most effective form of magnesium for absorbing and replenishing your magnesium levels.
USE: use daily, spray on an area of the body and rub in, leave to absorb for 15-20 minutes and shower off (can be left on if it doesn't cause irritation). In cases of severe deficiency, the oil may cause some irritation. We suggest you rotate the areas sprayed each day - e.g. spray on arms one day, legs the next, torso the next to prevent this. You can also dilute some of the oil further with water in a separate bottle and use this for a few days/week to become accustomed to it, building up to a stronger oil. Avoid use on rashes or damaged skin.
